WUMC’S MISSION TEAM WELCOMES ALL

What defines a “Mission” in the church?
The dictionary says, “the vocation or calling of a religious organization, especially a Christian one, to go out into the world and spread its faith.”
At Walkersville United Methodist Church we like to dig in and get busy doing God’s work.
The list below shows that our Mission is to help others by serving, praying, or providing an answer to a problem. Our Mission Committee is always open to people who like to help others. Come join us.

We are currently looking for a person, or people, to head up a local mission effort by WUMC. In coordination with “Rebuilding Local” organization we’ll be to focus on our own area. The projects will range from simple tasks to more involved construction projects. Projects are available to pick from and “House Managers” are already assigned for any assistance that would be needed on site. Just need “You” to help coordinate the timing and workers.

We are also wanting to know of people in need in our immediate area. We are willing to come out and assist you, or just take of it, in projects that might be cumbersome for some.

Contact the church office, or the Missions Committee for details.
