COUNTING OUR BLESSINGS

We are requesting that each Sunday, our families bring in non-perishable food items (cereal, soup, etc.) for our local food bank.  This summer, the Food Bank is in need of peanut butter, spaghetti sauce and toilet paper.  Egg cartons are needed to re-package bulk eggs for the families.

All donations will be brought up to the altar and blessed prior to being delivered to the Glade Valley Food Bank.

 WOMEN’S GROUP

The Women's Group of WUMC would like to invite all women of the church, young and old, to join us this Monday, November 19th at 6pm in Georgetown Hall for fellowship and support before the craziness of the holidays begin. We will be serving a light supper of soup, salad, bread and dessert. Please consider taking time out of your busy schedule to spend time with friends and get spiritually centered before the start of the holiday season. Just think of it as a night off from cooking and a time to recharge. We can all use more laughter in our life and I am sure there will be plenty of that. Please RSVP via email to Sharon Whitmer at whitmerfamily@verizon.net so we can be sure to have enough food.

KAIROS PRISON MINISTRY

The mission of Kairos Prison Ministry, Inc. is to bring Christ's Love and forgiveness to all incarcerated individuals, their families, and those who work with them, and to assist in the transition of becoming a productive citizen.

Psst... You don't have to come to the church to pray.

Pray for these folks in your own sanctuary as necessary.

Thank you and God bless!

Think about it...what if you were the one in prison, alone?  Wouldn't you want some to pray for you?

" Can I Get an AMEN?"

Amen itself is an interjection used to agree with, affirm, approve, or emphasize something else that has been said.

Thus when Jesus begins certain sayings by declaring "Amen, amen, I say to you . . . "
